Same RGB triple-laser platform, same Google TV, same auto-setup — the Max’s case rests almost entirely on brightness. That extra output matters in two situations: screens beyond about 120 inches, and rooms where you can’t kill the ambient light. In a controlled room at normal screen sizes, the Pro looks essentially identical and costs meaningfully less. Most buyers should take the Pro; the Max is for giant screens, bright living rooms, and buyers who want the ceiling of what this platform can do.
