What are the best projector deals right now?
Updated August 27, 2026 • Based on 36 projector deals compared
As of August 2026, we're tracking 36 projector discounts on Amazon (about $11,974 in combined markdowns). The biggest drop right now: the Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Gen with Gaming Hub Smart Portable Projector at $497.9, down 38% from its list price of $797.99. We re-check prices every couple of hours and screen out implausible markdowns, so inflated MSRP "discounts" don't make this page.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchasesProjector Deals (August 2026): 36 Price Drops Right Now
We re-check every projector's Amazon price every couple of hours and screen out implausible markdowns: a list price has to genuinely exceed the current price, and we discard implied discounts over 60% — which is where fantasy MSRPs live. We also record our own price observations over time, so these comparisons increasingly reflect what a model actually sells for rather than its list price alone.
Our filter: in-stock models only, minimum $30 real savings, and no poorly-rated projectors — a discount on a projector owners dislike is a trap, not a deal. 36 of our tracked models qualify today.

When Do Projector Prices Actually Drop?
After tracking prices across our catalog daily, the pattern is consistent — three event windows plus one structural opportunity produce nearly all the meaningful discounts:
🗓️ Prime Day (mid-July)
20-35% off brand-name models, especially XGIMI, Nebula (Anker) and BenQ. Portable and lifestyle projectors see the deepest cuts. Deals often linger a few days past the official event at slightly worse prices.
🍂 Prime Big Deal Days (October)
The sleeper event: similar depth to July's Prime Day with less competition for stock. If you're buying for the holidays or football season, this beats waiting for Black Friday shipping chaos.
🛒 Black Friday / Cyber Monday
The year's floor for home-theater models — Epson and BenQ's serious 4K projectors hit their lowest prices of the year. Popular gaming models sell out; if a deal matches October's price, don't gamble on a deeper cut.
🔄 Model refresh cycles (year-round)
When a successor launches, the outgoing model drops 20-30% and stays there — the BenQ TK700 after the TK710 launched is the textbook case. These are the best "deals" of all because they never expire at midnight. Our versus pages tell you whether the older model is still the smart buy.
Deal-hunting by budget instead? Start at under $500, under $1,000, or the cheapest 4K projectors right now.
Projector Deals FAQ
How do you know these discounts are real?
Because we don't take Amazon's word for it. Our system records each projector's price every day, so the "was" price on this page is what the model recently sold for in our tracking — not a list price inflated before a sale event. If a "deal" is just a returned-to-normal price, it doesn't appear here.
A projector I want isn't on this list — should I buy it anyway?
Depends on the calendar. Models missing from this list are selling at or near their list price. If it's within ~6 weeks of Prime Day, October Prime Big Deal Days, or Black Friday, waiting is usually worth it. Otherwise, normal price on the right projector beats a discount on the wrong one.
Some models — Epson's 5050UB historically — hold price for months and then drop hard once or twice a year. When those rare drops happen, they show up at the top of this page.
Why isn't a "70% off" Amazon projector on this list?
Massive discounts on unknown brands are manufactured: the list price was fiction, and often the specs ("10,000 lumens 4K, $89") are too. We track established brands with verifiable specs — see our guide to reading real lumen ratings for how those listings mislead.
